AZ Alkmaar scout Dennis Har has spoken about Tijjani Reijnders and how he has adapted to life in Italy after joining AC Milan last summer.

Reijnders was one of the summer signings who generated the most excitement given his numbers with AZ Alkmaar, and he was one of 10 additions that the management made.

He was tasked with helping to rebuild a midfield department that had just lost Sandro Tonali and Stefano Pioli placed a lot of faith in him immediately.

The Dutchman scored his first goal in Serie A on November 11 against Lecce at the Via del Mare, then his first at San Siro in the win over Monza in December.

TMW spoke to Dennis Har, a scout who works for AZ Alkmaar who spotted the talent Reijnders had before developing him and selling him on.

“Going from AZ Alkmaar to Milan is always difficult, the transition from the Eredivisie to Serie A is not easy but I think he approached it in the right way,” he said.

“And he is an important player, capable of assuming his responsibilities and when I see him play I admire a player who is continually growing. He is already one of Milan’s most important players and I believe that his level of football can grow further.”
