A new après ski trend is gaining steam across the slopes of Europe. Surprisingly, it doesn't involve chugging alcohol or dancing to the constant 'oomf-oomf' of an EDM beat.

Watch as a group of skiers partakes in this newfound trend by cheering on a struggling skier attempting to make his way down the beginner slope. Tap to watch.

Now this is a trend we can all get behind, right?

While their cheers might feel like jeers from an outside perspective, it's clear that these skiers genuinely want the beginner skier to succeed.

The lubrication of alcohol is making their reactions more animated, but they mean well. The fists in the air, repeated clapping, and hollers as the skier successfully recovered should tell you all that you need to know.

Can we make this a thing at ski resorts across North America?

There are some resorts where beginner terrain isn't in view of the best après spots, but surely places like Mammoth, Palisades Tahoe, Alta, and more could replicate this scene. Let's encourage our drunken après ski friends to turn that intoxicated energy into something good -- encouraging beginner skiers to keep going!

Check out another example from last season. The skier in question is attempting a much more difficult slope, but the result is still the same.

Say what you want about the Euros. They know how to après.
