Recap: Raptors Get Demolished By Knicks, Drop 12th Straight
Dan Hamilton-USA TODAY Sports

The Toronto Raptors’ losing streak continues.

The franchise suffered its 12th loss in a row after a 145-101 loss to the New York Knicks.

The 44-point loss marked the worst defeat in Raptors franchise history.

The Raptors lost another player due to injury early in this one.

Ochai Agbaji suffered a scary fall in the first quarter. He left the game and did not return. He was diagnosed with a right hip contusion. Initial X-rays were negative on his right hip.

Toronto was already without starters and former Knicks RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley, who are still in return-to-competition reconditioning, as well as injured starters Scottie Barnes (left hand) and Jakob Poeltl (left pinkie).

Raptors center Jontay Porter who is being investigated for alleged gambling, missed his third straight game.

The Raptors defense got torched by the Knicks red-hot offense. New York shot it 58.5 percent from the field and 50 percent from deep.

Six Knicks players finished in double-figures, including former Raptor Precious Achiuwa who had 19 points and 12 rebounds.

O.G. Anunoby did not play in this one as he remains out with an elbow injury. However, Anunoby still received a nice tribute video and got a standing ovation from the Raptors faithful.

The lone bright spot in this game for the Raptors was Gradey Dick who scored a career-high 23 points. He was more aggressive than ever as he finished 10-18 from the field. He also hit 3 of 6 triples.

Gary Trent Jr. had 18 and veteran Garrett Temple scored 15 points from off the bench as the Raptors fell to 1-13 against Atlantic Division opponents this season.

Miles McBride matched a career-high with 29 points, Jalen Brunson had 26 and New York never trailed. It was the Knicks’ largest margin of victory this season.

The Raptors will have three days off before they take on Nick Nurse and the Philadelphia 76ers on March 31 for the final time this season.

Toronto could get some bodies back in the lineup with Barrett and Quickley returning to practice.
